In connection with the Services and as provided in the Terms, Ryde Safe collects and uses your personal information. By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. From time to time, Ryde Safe may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to its information practices. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting of the revised Privacy Policy.

When you register with us and use the Services, you generally provide the following personal information (“Personal Information”): (a) your name, mobile phone number, and email address; (b) transaction-related information, such as when you make use the Services ; (c) information you provide us when you contact us for help; and (d) credit card information including expiration date and security code.

Ryde Safe may also use the information you provided us to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, in connection with your use of the Services, Ryde Safe and its third party service providers may use a variety of technologies that automatically (or passively) collect certain information including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device’s unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browsers you use, and information about the way you use the Services. Ryde Safe may use this information for a variety of purposes, including to enhance or otherwise improve the Services.

Will Ryde Safe have access to precise real time location information of the device?

In connection with provision of the Services, Ryde Safe collects precise information about the location of your mobile device.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained as a result of your use of the Services?

Ryde Safe provides some of your Personal Information to the third party service providers who accept your requests for transportation services. Ryde Safe may also provide aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to help us improve the Services. We will share your information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this privacy statement. Ryde Safe does not share your Personal Information with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes unless you consent to such sharing.

We may disclose Personal Information and automatically collected information:

  • As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • To a subsequent owner or co-owner of the Ryde Safe business or provider of the Services or in connection with a corporate merger, consolidation, restructuring, the sale of substantially all of the membership interests in Ryde Safe and/or its assets.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

We will retain Personal Information for as long as you use the Services and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain automatically collected information for up to twelve (12) months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. If you’d like us to delete user provided data that you have provided when using the Services, please contact us and we will respond in a reasonable time.

Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees, contractors and third party service providers who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve the Services. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.
